Welcome to Trollbead Georgian Gala!  TGG is our first ever annual celebration of all things Trollbead!  We are thrilled to host a "Meet the Artist Night" on Saturday evening.  Ms. Sarah Johnson, one of our Trollbead artists, has agreed to come to Covington to show us the art of making glass beads.  

Where to stay: There are several hotels in the Covington, Conyers area.  There are blocks of rooms available with special rates at The Hampton Inn (678-212-2500), and the Holiday Inn (770 784 9200).  Be sure to tell the hotel that you are reserving rooms for the Trollbead Georgia Gala to receive your special rate.  

Make sure that you register your attendance! Your registration fee includes a wine and cheese tasting on Friday and Saturday evening and your lunch on Friday and Saturday.

What to do:

We have exciting plans for all of Gala guests.  We don't want to spoil it by telling to much to soon, so here is a small sneak peak of some of the events that we have scheduled for you!

Thursday, May 2nd at 12:00 there will be a concert on the Square! These are always great fun, so get in early and come out and enjoy the music on our lovely Square.

Spires Interiors will have a special meet and greet luncheon on Friday and Saturday

We have a wonderful local winery in Covington, and on one of the evenings we have planned a wine and cheese tasting.  There will also be tours of the winery available for anyone who would like to attend.  

Where to eat: The Covington area has several restaurant styles for you to choose from. Around the Square in the downtown district we have a coffee shop, a deli and an ice cream parlor.  We also have restaurants  that feature cajun cuisine, italian, thai, and southern bar-b-que.  Food is plentiful in Covington!

Did you know that Covington is known as "Hollywood South"?  Over 45 movies and television shows have been and are being filmed in our picturesque little town.  We are currently the filming The Vampire Diaries around town so you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of one of the stars.  

Covington and Newton County are home to some of the most beautiful Antebelluem homes in the entire South.  Our Chamber of Commerce has some wonderful tours of our historic homes available.  Please make sure to advise us if you would like a tour arranged because a certain quantity must be met.
